Fall break in Colorado

 

Richard and I drove from Fort Collins to Castle Pines where our friends the Ruths live.  They used to live in the house next door to us in South Jordan.  We went to church with them and had such a great visit with them.  It was great to catch up.  We have missed them so much.  

James and I drove home from Colorado all day on Monday.  James took this great picture on our way back home into salt lake valley.  

We love capturing pics when Olivia and Louis are playing with the phone while we are facetiming.  

James and his friend Andy had a sleep over and so they slept on the couches alot during the day the next day.

James got a hair cut.

Anna Lynn wanted some help learning how to make homemade bread.  I am thankful she asked because I love when I can help share a skill.  

Michelle and Elena and I went to the Provo City Center Temple on Saturday and then we went out to lunch at our favorite place called Vegan Sun.  We had a great time spending time together.  Elena and I stopped by walmart on the way home to get some halloween candy and other things.  Walmart was insane.  We had alot to do once we got home in the evening and then we watched a movie.  

Ice Fishing, Parks and grandkids

Richard took James and his friend Richie ice fishing at Strawberry reservoir.

  I sat in the car with Olivia and Louis at the library while Charlotte and Shanna went in and checked out some books.  Charlotte and I spent some time reading books in the car before I drove back home.

Louis is so cute with his big eyes.    

Charlotte and I went to the dandelion pool park by their home.  It was lots of fun.  

Charlotte is a really good climber and loves the slides so much.

Shanna is so good at taking care of everyone and everything.

I was able to watch the kids while Shanna went grocery shopping.  She went to costco and walmart and then after the kids were all asleep that night, we put everything away.  

Charlotte and I played beauty salon.  I fixed Charlottes hair first and then we worked on each of the dolls hair.

Grandma and Grandpa Jacobs met us at the park and we had fun playing on the playground.  

Charlotte always is so nice to other kids at the playground and makes a new friend whenever she can.

Charlotte got a new necklace with a tiny unicorn on it.  She agreed to have a picture with it on.

We had a great Church at home day.  We watched their sacrament meeting and then did our own primary.  Charlotte loves singing primary songs and loves to play primary singing time.  Shanna did a lesson for primary as well and then we played hide and seek.

 

It looks alot like Christmas in March

It has snowed a lot this week so it is very white here.  

 Christian, Shanna & Charlotte came to visit us this evening and we loved it.  We are so thankful that they live so close and we can see them often.

 Charlotte is practicing on her bike and loves it! She is a natural.

 I got a new screen protector for my phone because some pics from my phone have been looking really dirty.  We wanted to try a selfie to see if it takes clear pics now.  It looks good.

 James went on a campout to Crystal Hot Springs for a campout and had a lot of fun.

 Charlotte was jumping all over the couch.

Charlotte wouldn't put her feet into her high chair so Shanna set her in there with her feet up! It was funny.

Quebecois food night

 Charlotte and Shanna came over and had lunch with us and then I got to watch Charlotte for a while.  She loves the animal crackers.

 Elena and I made some Quebecois favorites. For dinner we made Pate Chinois (Chinese pie or shepherd pie) and home made ketchup (d'ela maison)? We also made maple leaf cookies with maple cream frosting for the middle. They turned out pretty good.

Elena and Charlotte and I did some errands together before Elena had to go to work.

SNOW

 It has been quite a snowy week here.  We got so much snow that school was cancelled one day.  Saturday we went up to Strawberry Reservoir and went snowmobiling and a little sledding.   Shanna, Christian, Dad and Elena went riding around on the snowmobiles for a while and Charlotte and I sat in the car.  The weather kind of wasn't that great so when they came back we pulled Charlotte around on the sled for a bit and the temp dropped pretty quickly so we packed up and went home.  

We had a great trip to the temple to do Baptisms with James.  It was really amazing to have Dad do all of the baptisms.  

 Elena and I found Charlotte some hot pink moccasin slippers.

 Shannas internet wasn't working so she came to work on homework at our house for the day.  We watched Charlotte and she took the best nap she has ever taken at our house.  We put her crib in my closet and so it was pretty sound proof and light proof.  She slept for 3 hours.

Bienvenue a la maison Elena! (Welcome Home Elena)

 Finally Elena is home! We are so excited that Elena completed her mission to the Canada Montreal Mission!

 Jacob actually made an appearance at the airport.  He left really quick so we didn't get him in the family picture.
