Remembering Grandma Lucy's Birthday

We remembered Grandma Lucy's Birthday on January 31st by making her favorite dessert Lemon Meringue Pies! We really miss Grandma Lucy and the picture is of her and Jacob when we celebrated their birthdays a few years ago!

Christian and Shanna's Wedding Day

Shanna and Christian were married in the Oquirrh mountain temple! We are so happy for them.  It was such a beautiful day.  We love them and are so thankful for their righteous choices to serve missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and to be married in the temple.  It was really cold and windy when we came out from the temple.  After we did all of the pictures by the temple we went to the Roth's house for the wedding luncheon.  They served Café Rio tacos. It was a great meal.  We were able to go home for a little while for a break. Then we went to the reception center called Magnolia Grove.  It was great.  We loved seeing everyone.  We had such a great turnout. There was a constant flow of people the whole night.  Shanna and Christian chose not to even cut the cake and just continue greeting people and they cut the cake and served it without any pictures.  They left at 9 when the reception was scheduled to be done at 8!

Mesquite Soccer Tournament

James and I drove down to Mesquite to a soccer tournament.  The weather was really bad on the way down.  It took us a lot longer to get there.  It was snowing most of the time and the roads were packed with snow and cars.  We just kept moving along at a very slow pace and finally made it there.  They were supposed to have a game on the night we were driving there but they cancelled that game because of the weather.  They had 2 games the first day and then 1 game the next day.  Then we drove home.
