Fractured

Tuesday I went to the dr to get my wrist checked out again because the pain was still so bad and he did xrays and said it is fractured and that there is a fragment of bone. So for the first week it hurt really bad and I kept the brace on the whole first week. The 2nd week I didnt wear the brace because It was uncomfortable and i thought if it isn’t broken then I should start working on strengthening it.  Haha.  So my dr appt was 2 weeks after my fall.  So this past week I wore the brace again and tried not to use it for anything.  It is starting to feel a lot better.  The hardest part is trying to do what i need to do with 1 hand and telling shanna that i cant watch Charlotte when i am by myself because i can’t pick her up, it hurts my arm too much!  I have an appt with an orthopedic specialist tomorrow morning and will find out if I can just keep wearing the brace or if something else needs to be done.  I will let you know.

I thought it would be fun to show you what the countdown app looks like! It is fun to keep track of transfers and companions etc!

I made golden oatmeal applesauce muffins and I found these cute muffin papers that don’t stick to the muffins! It is glorious because i didn’t lose half the muffin on the paper.  I think the words are French on the box!

We are driving home from Andy and Camie’s house now. We had the Jacob’s family dinner there tonight.  Aspen and Skyler and Tiffany came too. It was fun to see them.

Helping Hand

Monday night Dad and I went to a suicide prevention and internet safety presentation at Riverton High School.  It was really good.  We got a lot of really good and important information.  I cant remember what we did Tuesday and Wednesday.  I cannot ride my bike yet so Dad is riding by himself.  I have been pretty sad about that.  My wrist still really hurts.  We will go ahead with the bike ride plan on October 1st and I will just drive the car and dad will ride alone and I will probably just go to check points and make sure he is ok.  As soon as my wrist is better I will start riding again and practice with the clip pedals.  We will do it again together as soon as I can and maybe next year.  I have been walking with my friends since that is what I can do.

We have been getting ready for the primary program for today.  I really enjoy serving in primary.  I went and helped Grandma J. get her new kitchen all put together and cleaned so they can use it.  They are slowly getting things all put away in their new home.  It is hard for me because I can hardly use my left hand so I cant carry boxes or anything heavy.  They need help.  I can barely help.  I still keep trying.  Grandma was so excited.

Shanna has been working hard on her first week of byui online.  Katy and I have been taking turns helping her with Charlotte while she works on school.  It is also hard for me to help with Charlotte because I need both arms to pick her up and carry her.  Hopefully it will get better soon so I can take care of her.  Shanna and I went to Zao Asian CafĂ© in the district for lunch on Friday and then I watched charlotte for a while so shanna could go to the eye dr.

James came home from school and we got some pics.  James has really been wanting a phone so we finally decided to activate Michelle's old phone for him.  I have it set up so it is basically an iPhone with talk and text only.  haha! I found out I could get on a cheaper plan and made some other changes to my bill so now I will pay $20 less for 3 phones than I was paying for 2 phones before.  He is so excited!!!! Most of Friday before and after Shanna and Charlotte I cleaned the house.

Shanna bought this cute wreath and we were trying to figure out where to put it this week.  It reminded me of the flower wreath head bands.  This was the cutest though.

Saturday, I worked in the yard almost the entire day.  It takes a really long time to do anything with 1 arm.  James was invited to a 6th grade party at a girls house last night.  It was very cute.  He said when he came home on Friday "I got invited to a party by the most popular girl in 6th grade."  He had fun and took his phone so he was able to collect some friend phone numbers so he can stop texting me and Jacob, dad and Jacob, Christian and shanna so much.  haha! Jacob is so annoyed when james texts him.  He says he is going to block him.  It is so funny.  Jacob has been playing really well in soccer.  I think his high school soccer season really helped his playing and his confidence.  I also think it helps his confidence that he is man size now.  His team has not won any games but they won the game this week.  It was very exciting.  I am writing this letter on sunday morning today because our internet isn't that great on sunday nights for some reason and I am usually so tired by the time I finally get around to it  I need to go make some breakfast now.
